Make Me - I am Yours

by Erinbob   Nov 28, 2007

In dark times I await Your voice... It seems neverending, my sorrow. I weep for my loss, for the hurt I have caused... and deep down I wonder if I am doing the right thing.

Then I hear the soft gentleness that your Word brings. Let me be one with Your intention. I want to praise Your name. I lift you up as the Most High and there is no one else who can rival Your awesome countenance.

Measure me, O Lord. Search my heart and know that I love you. Mold me to fit Your standards, for who am I to follow anyone else, except my Maker? The pleasures of my immoral sin lasted only for a season, but Your mercy is forever. The length of time in which my sorrow creeps is never long, for You are always there, my Comforter.

Rain Your Spirit down on me. Cleanse me of my ways. Consider me, Jesus, my God. I want You to look at me and say, This is my child of whom I am well pleased. I want to make You smile. If only others could know this peace... If only they wouldn't turn away and scoff.

I did, once... I hated who and what You represented. But I grew weary, knowing the truth, and eventually I asked myself why I was rebelling in the first place. I then found myself trying to hate You... now I cry inwardly that I hadn't taken a stand long ago.

Teach me, Lord... in Your ways. I acknowledge You, Jesus, my Savior. In your lovingkindness show me Your direction.

Thank you so much for everything You have done. I want you to have everything of me, just as You gave everything of yourself for us. Amen (So be it).
