Blue Pearls

by Viola   Nov 29, 2007

She wears her makeup just so
A little to make her a noticeable face in the crowd
But not enough to call attention

She walks and talks a certain way
Oh cause she doesn't want the world to know
What's going on inside

She smiles a fake smile, eyes bright
When they come up and ask how she's doing tonight
And she lies through her teeth

What a beautiful girl
And no one in the room will ever speculate
That she might be hurting inside

But when she leaves that party
She will go home to a dark and lonesome place
And blue pearls will fall from her eyes

Yeah, 'cause in the comfort of her bed
She won't have to hide what she feels inside
Everything held in, will fall out at her bed side

Blue pearls, clear and cold, like ice
Will fall from her eyes
But no one will ever know

What a beautiful girl
