The Minute of Decay

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 29, 2007

The moment that you faltered,
I lost myself to hate,
I swore that I would break you,
My bittersweet soul mate.

No care, just disregard,
Indifference turned my soul,
Tell me how you love me,
Or how I make you whole.

Spin your web sweet spider,
You won't catch me today,
The flames inside my mind,
Your first step to decay.

Much more bitter is the poison,
When it comes from your own bloom,
It's amazing how it spreads,
Its sickly sweet perfume.

The anger eats my beating heart,
My veins fill with disdain,
For everything you gave to me,
For everything you've slain.
