Mother is dying

by fallenforever   Nov 29, 2007

Mother is dying,
Daughter is crying,
They've both lost hope,
Without a way to cope,

Pain has taken over,
Both their lives,
They hurt so much,
There's no disguise,

Mother lying,
Beneath hospital sheets,
Daughter walking,
Down endless streets,

She sits with her mother,
And holds her hand,
She tells her to hang on,
It's said as a command,

Her mother's getting worse,
There's no cure for her disease,
She looks to heaven above,
And gets down on her knees,

Please let her live,
Why can't you take me?
Without her I can't live,
Can't you see?

She walks to her mother's room,
With tears running from her eyes,
But her mother's gone,
She stands there and cries,

Her mother couldn't hold on,
Now her spirits in the sky,
But her poor daughter is left,
With nothing not even a goodbye,
