Brace Yourself

by Alex D   Dec 3, 2007

*An Italian Sonnet about a terrible home life due to over drinking. The drunk lover comes to a realization after beating his love that he was hurting his love and he breaks down and they make up and have each others best kiss of all time and there going to be alright.*

A love once whole, my dear, kicked to the floor
A love I once cherished, I've destroyed wrongly
Abuse is a common thing, shockingly
I cant stop my actions, my heart, ignored.
She stays with me still, in me she adores
Too much to drink, tempers rise, You best flee
Brace yourself, Im breaking out, Im losing me
Bash the door, Im coming for you, Hands sore.
Destruction of my home, of myself, mauled
Bruises form, screams from within, last plead
Crashed inside, Fists wild and unmerciful
Screaming, Fighting, Realizing, Resisting
Break down, Tears fall, Remember love, Wrath stalls
Emotions bliss, Lifes best kiss, Love remitted.
