The Heartbreak Song

My voice is getting raspy,
from the songs I try to sing.
A simple melody, a simple breeze,
the kind of stuff that used to capture me.

It seems that no one's listening
to the trembling rhapsody
of a girl who scraped her knees.
But perhaps I'm not singing loud enough.
