One Night Stand

by HollywoodSmile   Dec 16, 2007

He told me i was beautiful,
he told me i was sweet
we filled the night with joy
as we carried out our sinful loving deed

he told me i was wonderful,
he told me i was unique
we tangled in my sheetless bed,
the headboard at our feet

preesed together, our bodies sweat
four AM we needed rest
he kissed my lips and said goodnight
of all i recall, it was the best

i awoke, bout half past seven
saw him sleeping,
gave him my number
thought i was in heaven

we passed notes
of what we wished to say
because an unwanted audience
was here to stay

i wondered when we would meet again
a threatening ghost, my head, haunted
he said not to worry
wasnt sure this was what he wanted

i nearly cried
as i fled the room
wished i had died
and begged for doom

(Caleb; i dont understand why you did what you did, you were so perfect, so loving, but you changed your mind. you didnt even give me a reason.)

This poem is again excellent. your situation is clear. and it seems he used his words to pass through your defense and then crushed you in the end. who knows.
