Ode to the lips

by Kate Hicks   Dec 20, 2007

Like the gentle breeze of summer
They brush against my face.
Like the water fall in paradise
They shower me.

Like the softest touch from child
They caress my face.
Like the glow of the roaring fire
They warm me.

Like the sparkling snow in winter
They send shivers down my spine.
Like the sudden boom of thunder
They shake me.

Like the jester at the banquet
They put a smile on my face.
Like the beautiful blush of springs first bloom
They kiss me.
