The vital conversation

I realize now that its time for me to change
all it took for me was that one conversation that was o so strange
many of your words were hurtful and i didn't know what to do
then i realized i couldn't do anything because all of them were true
all walls were down, you said i needed to learn to love myself
and not worry about the words or opinions of anybody else
i felt so weak after what you had said
i drowned in confusion, thoughts racing through my head
it was funny to think that this all started because of him
you warned me to be careful because it might not work out
i didn't deny your claims, i had no doubts
you did all of this for me because you care and you're a great friend
but don't fret I've changed and ill never let anyone break my heart again
