Hero

Your hero is all I wanted to be
I wanted you to look up to me
To look upon me with eyes filled with awe
But you can't look at me at all anymore

Who are the real hero's in this world
Is it the man who takes in the kitten from the cold
Or the man who saves a drowning child
Or the father that fights against all odds for his children

Is it the pilot that lands the crippled plane
Or the footballer who plays the perfect game
Is it the soldier that fights the war
Or the medic that saves him when he is at deaths door

Every man can be a hero, but I'm not
The opportunity came but I didn't take the shot
All my efforts since amount to zero
No matter what I do I'm nobodies hero

One I wrote quickly one evening a long time ago so it's probably not that good.
