Savior's of THe People We Could Have Been

by Josh Hopper   Dec 24, 2007

Take me to the top,
we're the only ones who can get up this far so fast,
nothing more than an internal scar,
we have to carry the world's problems on our backs.

Cause we are the only one's with the strength,
we are the saviors when everyone else turns weak.
"I can't" is what they said,
now look at the mouths that are being fed.

With such mistakes comes wounds to bleed,
with no cure to make sure they're healing,
we're only getting as far as they crawl,
dialing for help, holding on to it all.

I want to hear you scream the same,
I want to hear you call out my name,
cause I am the only one with ear's to listen,
no one else can, the screams come from within.

Open your eyes says the man who's in trouble,
I'm the one hurt here, I'm the one who struggles,
but if at all possible you leave him to die,
you will have to endure the screams and cries.

With such intentions comes wounds to bleed,
with no cure approaching that you can see,
you're only getting as far as they crawl,
while they dial for help, trying not to fall.

I want to hear you scream the same,
like all your victim's you left to bleed,
cause they were the only ones with eyes to see,
you were the one left alone and empty.
