The first "I love you"

Hands shaking
Feet gone cold
You don't know what to do

You wantt o tell her you love her
And you know she loves you too
But the words won't come

You want her to knw how much she means
And you've already told everyone else
But the one you really want to tell you just can't seem to tell

Your hands start sweating
And you take a deep breath
Then you ask her to say it first

"I love you" she says
Staring deeply into your eyes
Then you wisper "I love you too"

You both smile
And you hold her tight
Never wanting this moment to end

You're glad you said it
And you're glad she knows
But you're glad she said it first
