Dark Angel

by Taylor   Dec 31, 2007

She's been fighting for much too long
The cuts and bruises shows she's stayed strong
But she can't fight the fact that she has to forfeit
No more of this game, it's time to quit

Her short white dress is now no more
She was tired of looking like she was a w***e
She's got her flared white jeans with black chains all over
Black tube top, and she's still not sober

She doesn't have her scrawny white wings
Now she's got large black-feathered beautiful things
Trying to forget the reasons why she should stay
She's trying so hard to runaway

But the explosions and screams stay in her mind
A way for peace is what she's trying to find
For eight months she's been searching for his heart
She hates the feeling of being apart

A light from a bomb soars across her path
Everything is quiet and she is showing her wrath
Screaming as loud as she can, her eyes turn black
Gathering her strength, she's getting ready to attack

The ground is shaking, and the electric guitar begins
She walks with fire in her eyes, screaming her sins
She lashes out with her right arm
Trying to show everyone what she can harm

Black all around her eyes as tears fall out
She won't let herself lose without a doubt
"He's a burden to my life, but I don't care"
And just then she realizes that no ones there

They've all disappeared, except for one
She turns around and knows she's done
"You've made me bleed, all this time"
She whispers to him, like he did a crime

Now the bloody tears start to shed from her eyes
And this is the first time he's heard her cries
She's said every word that came from her soul
But she feels like she's no longer in control

He now knows she loves him, and he's made a mistake
Forgetting about her, and pushing her to what she can't take
And to him, now she's just some stranger
She's been through too much misery, she's a dark angel
