Circus of The Damned

by Beautiful Chaos   Jan 1, 2008

A boy who couldn't love,
A girl who wouldn't feel,
Everything they come to touch,
Lay ash or cold as steal.

A heart that's only meant to beat,
A mind that's torn apart,
Spirits lost within the mist,
A cursed work of art.

Twisted dreams of mans dark mind,
Alive within our time,
Photograph the angels fall,
For heaven pays sublime.

Leave behind the ones who hurt,
The ones we cannot fix,
Leave a few to look down on,
And pelt with moral bricks.

A girl who cries, a boy who dies,
A little more each day,
Trapped inside this bitter world,
Of hate and sweet decay.

I love the palpable images you use in this piece as well as your word choice especially "a heart that's only meant to beat".
