Reflections in the Mirror

by Sarah Murphy   Jan 2, 2008

As i stand here
looking at the mirror
staring at my reflection
i don't just see one person
i see a whole complication
of heartbroken, loneliness
sunshine, and happiness
everyday there are different ones
even when i first begun, looking in the mirror

there will always be a whole complication
there is never just one emotion
i hope people understand
they need to deal with these emotions hand-in-hand
we all need to look deep within
to find the true feeling that are kept in
Beneath all the heartbroken, loneliness
sunshine, and happiness
beneath all the jealousy, sadness
seduction and anger

there are those
who don't even try to search
and those are the people
who will always walk this earth
trying to find who they really are
when the truth isn't really that far

so just because i can see it
don't mean you can't
just look harder and you will find
how people really are
whither they be kind or cruel
depressed or ecstatic
it's all there waiting to be seen
there to be noticed
and not ignored
all there

so what does my reflection say
about me?
