Nobody knows..

The rain falls down hard
the thunder growls in the sky
i stare out into the world
&& i begin to cry

i wonder what it'd be like
if it never rained
would it make any difference?
would all my hurt be drained?

the sun comes out slowly
the sky is bright again
mistakes are easy to erase
but i wrote mine in pen

the tears continue to fall
as the knife slides across my arm
i told everyone I'd be okay
but i still cause myself harm

the marks that are left
are just memories of the past
the pain,the hurt,the bad
&& all the good that didn't last

i wipe away my tears
put on a fake smile every day
but when i am alone
the voices wont go away

the knife is back in my hand once again
&& on my wrist, i carve your name
you say we can go back to the beginning
but i know it'll never be the same

these tears that i cry,i cry for you
don't you see what your doing to me?
i know I'm not perfect but at least i try
i look in the mirror && a mistake is all i see

the hurt,the pain,the everything
but still i smile for you all
you think that your helping me up
but your the reason I'm about to fall
