The Rainbow

Looking up into the sky
red yellow green
this is unusual
tell me, what am i seeing?
bright colors
with different shades
i hear their voices
but not what they say
i follow the light
wondering what comes next
this was all so sudden
i don't know what to expect
all these bright colors
leading me on the right path
filling my heart with love
erasing my past.
filling my life with truth
as i draw close to the end
giving me a reason
a reason to live
these colors stay with me
they stay by my side
giving me answers
to questions in life
giving me a reason
to lift my head up
right when i feel
like i want to give up
I'm happy I've found them
happy they're in my life
its like a rainbow
washing away my strife
with strength so powerful
yet peaceful all at once
erasing my sorrow
and replacing it with love
and when i mess up
the rainbow is still there
forgiving my sins
showing me it still cares
and i know this will last
for i hear the rainbow say
I'll love you forever
forever & a day.
