The walk

by Madison   Jan 3, 2008

I lost the life i long to lead
along the worn and trodden path
i bent upon my weakened knees
to try and search among the grass
and all at once it came to me
the thought of all eternity
the playground of the wizened mind
to be immersed in that brown abyss
for all i though has led me astray and now at last i come to see
the distance was never that far
never to far between the ground and me
