Facade

by applecheeks   Jan 3, 2008

Why do you waste the energy
Living out youre facade
Why do you walk around in self
Righteousness trying to impress God

You perform on the stage of life
Acting out youre part
Rehearsing your lines religiously
So youre make believe life
Will not fall apart

I watched the show for far too long
Its time to draw the curtain
Where our relationship goes now,
Well Im not really certain

I never wanted to be sold out
But sometimes in life things change
Our roles, our parts, our scenes and
Scripts all get rearranged

So the lights go out the stage is swept
And our lives are never the same
I guess the moral of the story is;
Living for self, isnt worth the fame!
