Grave Meeting

I felt the place freeze my soul
Darkness saturated in this hole
Broken pictures and faded dreams
Is anything what it seems?

I felt the branches cut my skin
I felt the pain deep within
Roses that were once red
Turned black and died instead

I walked across this empty space
Longing for a sweet embrace
Staring in the frosy air to find
Your soul wasn't left behind

I stare at the dulling grave
That lays a girl once brave
And I ask "Why didn't we go
Somewhere only we know?"
