My Heart Lies Shattered

Meh wrote this when I was drunk. not my best but I wanna keep putting poems up here.

my heart lies shattered upon the broken glass
lies broken upon the dreams of shattered years past
I'm dying to live and yet I'm living to die
I'm hating myself more and I'm not wondering why

It's been three days and I still haven't slept
lucid moments cause memories and regrets
It's been three days and I still haven't slept
these past actions I pray will forget

I'm tired of living with myself, tired of it all
tired of standing and yet too tired to crawl
I'm on the verge of giving up, throwing it all away
out and off into the darkness, darkness of a dying day

the sun slipping behind the clouds, I relinquish my life
forfeit my existence upon the altar of a razor edged knife
I'm done with trying, I'm finished with trying
I'm done with the tears and I'm done with the crying

I'm done with the pain and I'm done with the hurt
I'm done with being treated lower than dirt
I'm finished with the misery and fed up with the agony
I'm ending this life now, and none of you can stop me.

    I really like this poem. the last stanza was amazing, but the rest of the poem was too. i love how you can rhyme even when you are drunk. haha.

    Drunk or not, that was great.

    "I'm done with the pain and I'm done with the hurt
    I'm done with being treated lower than dirt
    I'm finished with the misery and fed up with the agony
    I'm ending this life now, and none of you can stop me."

    These lines hit me the most, but I hope you're not thinking of suicide or something cause that's what it sounds like to me, no offense.
