Pretend A Little To Much

by Feels Like Ecstacy   Jan 4, 2008

There is a girl that with no doubt,
Would never even dare.
She cuts herself anyways,
But no one seems to care.
There are two sides to her life:
The fake and what is real.
She doesn't know where she stands,
All she knows is people steal.
Forward motions seem so bright,
But only she will know.
The past is to much to handle,
So once again she has a show.
Follow her behind the scenes,
Act and play pretend.
If she gives in to temptation,
Everything will end.
Play against her worthless words,
Act as if she lies.
When really she knows it wont be ok,
Now and then she tries.
Tears dont seem to phase her.
She never really cries.
All she does is pick it up,
A knife, oh no surprise.
Maybe if she reaches out,
That once again she'll mend.
Open up to winners,
What kind of message does that send.
She gives up on everyone,
She can only be so much.
To hate yourself all this time,
Is pretending a little to much.

--Not that great of a poem.. but it's how I feel.--
