I never truly understood

How much your past pained you

I wasn't ever fully aware

Of everything you went through

My past was bad

And this you know

But life goes on

I got along

Your love for her was boundless

Boundless as the sea

Though now you claim you didn't

It seems to me

You really did adore her

Cared very very much

I hadn't grasped that concept

It hurt you, that was clear

The time I spent talking to you

Was not enough, I never asked

In fear of hurting you

But now it's all passed
