Lost

by jack   Jan 5, 2008

Numb,
feeling nothing
the tears fall and the pain grows
but still numb

i stand here all alone
breathless
darkness falls over me
the rain hits my numb pale skin
unblemished by the attack
it does not relinquish its hatred for me

i sigh, hoping it will change things
looking down and then straight back up again
i hold your face in my mind
our perfect kiss, the one moment that no one can take
i want it forever

i am so tired of failing,
exhausted, drained but yet ready
i will fight
i will right my wrongs
for you anything

i fall to the floor
soaking in pools of love and hate
fear and lies
to have one more kiss
one more day, one more second with you

numb to the pain
but i know what i have lost

    Jack,

Another deep poem, expressing your feelings really well. Not that these poems aren't great - because they are - but have you considered writing something a little bit positive? Give it a go,
