Death by life

by allie   Jan 6, 2008

Leave me be, let me alone
let me sleep my death sleep
the cold swirls with the heat
of my pulse
fire and ice
have never made peace
till now
death is not just cold
life is not just heat
it is more than what lies
in front of my blurry eyes
death is freedom
life is prison
let my soul fly into the
darkened night
let it soar where it belongs
beyond the sky, beyond the heavens
where color blends with sound
let my soul sprout wings
let me take a piece of the sun
and throw it into the oceans
so water entertwines with water
people think death is cold
that it is better to live than die
well death is warm
and life is cold
welcome Death with open arms
only then
will peace
surround you
