Never love again

by Kristin   Jan 6, 2008

A flower plucked of its petals
Streets glazed in a deep cold frost
Tears well inside her beautiful blue eyes
As they both say their goodbyes

Tight squeeze of her cold frozen hand
Breath held during
A split second pause in time
All the memories intertwine

Freezing rain begins to fall
The sun begins to set
An old beaten up truck begins to pull away

With a flower stem in her hand and the petals beneath her feet
She watches him drive away on the cold frosted street
Tears drip down her cheeks
And she believes she will never love again.
