Letting go

by Just Lisa   Jan 6, 2008

She's waited for this moment,
Almost before the beginning of time.
Practiced her days and her nights,
Without hardly ever missing a line.
There's her thoughts of messing up,
But no longer can she be shy.
There's her fears of not succeeding,
But at least she can say she gave it a try.
There's people sitting at they're tables,
Watching each one step up to the plate.
Not making a big deal out of the moment,
As her parents decided to show up late.
But you see, nothing can get in her way,
Because she's learnt the art of letting go.
She just swallows the lump in her throat,
As she opens her mouth and speaks in flow.
Because she's waited for this moment,
Almost before the beginning of time.
She wouldn't miss it for the world,
And she never even missed a line.
