Creativity that Leads To Catastrophe

~Written For a Contest~

Oh My Lord!
Mankind has grown to its full potential
Breakthroughs that brought cosmic advances
Marvelous discoveries for life's essential
Never satisfied, even tiny creatures to enhance

Colossal infrastructures. . .
Sky high wonders. . .
Genetic clones. . .
Nuclear fission. . .

Oh Heavenly Father!
They become too powerful and frightening
As their imaginations brought a tremendous reality
A massive world of their own, so threatening
Cheating Life and Death, as their creativity. . .
Will lead them to a catastrophe. . .

Your valuable teachings. . .
Life's virtues and morality. . .
Customs and beliefs. . .
Diverse religions. . .
They disregard and discard

Oh almighty God!
Day by day they've become more powerful as you
Stretching their capacity to dominate everywhere
Leaving you behind and there's nothing I can do
Had also forgotten even your single bible prayer

Devastation of Nature. . .
Scattered hazardous pollutants. . .
Biological warfare. . .
Erasing thousands of lives. . .
Bringing terror and death. . .

Science and technology had created different inventions
Even designed a tool of destruction to pulverized anything
Biological and nuclear war fares spreading within nations
Just to obtain superiority and power that cause. . .
unstoppable killings

Greed for wealth. . .
Thirst for delights. . .
Lack of righteousness. . .
Screaming for justice. . .
Deficient in Love. . .
Living in chronic strife. . .
Inequality and discrimination. . .
Lost in Peace. . .

My Lord!
I'm sorry for what your living creations had become
I hope am not alone in this horrifying world I'm living
Hope they would be enlightened where they came from
And realize their mistakes and consider you the only. . .
Supreme Being

Will wake up and see. . .
That their creative minds had led. . .
To self-destruction and catastrophe

Aww yes, the question about humanity, technology, and self-destruction has been a topic in many literatures. This is one of your best poems yet.
