Stained Glass Windows

by Ariah Kaltesh   Jan 8, 2008

Stained glass windows in shades of gray
Describe the prison in which I stay
Window panes of blackened hearts
Shattered pieces of broken parts

The shards lie around the floor
Held prisoner by the bolted door
In the glass my life reflects
A shattered heart I can't correct

Littered all around cold tile
My broken spirit dies in style
Rain attacks the colored glass
The grays are mixed in swirling mass

This is where I lie and wait
Watching as it grows too late
As the outside sky fades black
My spirit fades, not to come back

This is indeed sad. I think you should find ways emancipate yourself, eg. Do some sports or even write until all that sadness liberates your mind. Very well written, kel.
