My Dreams Are Gone

Laying in a lonely bed thinking of all you do
touching my heart in agony, knowing this agony is caused by you
tears streaming down my once pretty face
now full of sadness by the actions that took place

Thinking of all and broken dreams
nothing anymore is what it seems
destroyed by a man that once said I love you
ripped apart by a love I thought was true

Betrayed and left to curl up and die
you saw the tears that fell from my eyes
yet you turned away adding more pain to the scene
and once again broken dreams

Goodbye to plans to finally wed
just me now alone in my bed
with no warmth from your arms wrapped around me tight
no more feeling safe all through the night

When you walked out I saw the coldness in your eyes
like evil was sent and cast upon me with lies
you use to be my savior and an angel in my sight
when I was feeling down you made every thing alright

Im left to sink as I await the moments ahead
replaying the past and every word we've said
wondering how I can ever go on
now that my dreams are finally gone
