Games you played

by coverd in darkness   Jan 8, 2008

When you were still here
You'd try to teach me wrong from right
Told me never to cheat on a partner
Taught me not to lie
Looked up to you as a daughters meant to do
Turns out for far too long
I trusted you to teach me
Yet suddenly you weren't being faithful to dad
You were pretending to be places you weren't
You were lying to our entire so called family
Lied to me even when i knew the truth
Then made me pretend it wasn't happening
So dad never found out
Had to keep it to myself
As it continues to burn my heart
Knowing you were cheating on dad
Lying about where you were at
Knew what was going to happen
My worst nightmare coming true
Eventually dad found out
He left you we got stuck with him
Now his an alcoholic
Find it hard to love either of you
Continuous threats of me getting kicked out
Days where i don't know how i can go on
All because of you
And your betrayal in teaching me
What's wrong and what's right
Why teach me something you can't follow
Pretend all you want
We aren't that close no more
Caused me endless nightmares
For far too long
