Love with the click of a button

by Diane   Jan 9, 2008

Too far to exchange a tender touch, though with the click of a button and receipt of a flower, I could feel the warmth of you.

Too far to share the warmth of a kiss, though with the click of a button and receipt of a smile, my lips burned for a kiss from you.

Too far to hold each other tight, though with the click of a button and receipt of a poem, my body ached for an embrace from you.

Too far to see your sorrow, though with a click of a button and now you are gone, my eyes wept tears for you.

Now many years have passed, and the button clicks no more, though my heart still aches and longs for you.
