Do you remember when daddy first said goodbye?
He packed up his things, you wondered why.
Free of his addictions it was time to start new.
Now that he had new goals and dreams to pursue.

Do you remember when mommy married steve?
Forced into our lives after a mere 30 days.
We hoped he would see the error in his ways.
For he stood to close, and shouted to loud
Unfortunately their happiness was not found.

Do you remember the fights?
The screaming the pushing
The cursing the slamming.
The nights spent in eachothes rooms
Finding comfort in only eachothers words.

But through it all we stayed strong,
even when it wall went wrong.
