I WAKE

You never said your leaving
you never said goodbye
you just walked out that door
you had things here
on earth with us
but you left us in the dust
when you never came back
we wondered where you went
we tried and tried again
to search for you
but nothing came into view
we love and miss you
why'd you have to go
everyday i wake
hoping and praying id
hear your voice telling
me to come. but when
theres nothing to hear
i shed that lonely tear
i cry everyday hoping
to see you again just hear
you say i love my little girl
i cry and scream but i know
that wont bring you back
i wake every morning
with such powerful rage
i shouldn't feel this way at my age
i stopped doing things
i turned against god
i had such a grudge
i blamed him for taking you
away from me but
thats life and its the way
it needs to be i know your in heaven
smiling down watching me while
i get around but i hope to see
you in another life with such
happiness, love, and care
this pain i feel now i cannot bare
i miss you i love you i want you back
id give my life to see your face
id do anything to be in your arms
i wake in such great sorrow
i don't wish for tomorrow
i want you back but now your happy
where you are even if heavens afar
without sickness, pain, or fear
catch my many tears
ill hold you in my heart i love you
and i miss you
i wake with a prayer and a smile
ill go the extra mile
ill see you at the crossroads
wait for me at heavens gate
i pray its not to late
ill be seeing you my daddy dear
with a face full of smiles
and eyes full of tears
i wake knowing ill see you again
