Love is like the ocean

by silence kills   Jan 11, 2008

Your presence leaves me breathless like the water in the sea
Pulling ever closer with your tide; then washing over me
A heartbeat does go faster and a smile plays my lips
I close these eyes to feel you near and wait for the eclipse
To feel you pass right through me; like the moonlight on the waves
Leaves this irrevocable heart with un-enduring craves
I want to hear your whispers that dance upon the breeze
The simple words you used to say to make me feel at ease
But the wind has changed its course; for it cannot be caged
Resembling your feelings that felt differently when aged
We used to feel complete when those words entwined our souls
But the beating of the current left the connection full of holes
The tide took you away from me; it changed its course of path
And now I'm left to feel the pain of deep waters current wrath
It has pulled me under and will never let me go
Even though you've gone: I love you: though your love stopped long ago

I just had to copy and paste my favorite lines. All I have to say is WOW! This was TOTALLY AMAZING! This should be in a book of poetry. It is by far one of the best love poems I have EVER read and is so going in my favorites. I might even frame it and hang it in my room (giving you the due credit) because it's breathtaking and beautiful!
