Passionless Words

by ntv650   Jan 11, 2008

Short stories, poems and songs
From the Odysseus and Achilles,
Persephone and Hades, all greek
And all unmade as if never to be

From the truth amidst the prose
Caesar and cleopatra were told,
And from the beauty of poetry
Sprung Adonis and Aphrodite

Pronouns, adjectives and verbs
All described with accuracy,
So untwined from our history
That passion lies in their wake!
