Letting Go at 100 Miles an Hour (Stranger)

by Courtney Lynn   Jan 18, 2008

You left that night
Without saying goodbye
When you closed that door
It changed both our lives.

You hopped into your car
drove off into the black.
Both still clueless
that you would never come back.

Now I'm letting go
at 100 miles an hour
Because of that stranger
and his stone sour.

Now your in a far off place
Because of this careless stranger
And his deep crimson face.

Though it's unfair
And nothing can be done
This stranger will have some more
And be back on the run.

I'm letting go at 100 miles an hour.
And my buckle is braking loose.
Because I'm letting you go
At 100 miles an hour
His crime goes without saying
He took your life from you.
