The Lonely Wolf

by Mark   Jan 19, 2008

Walking in the hood
With her purple poncho, covering my eyes
I am a lonely wolf
Who has agony set as a prize

Wondering if I lost myself
or looking for someone lost
because I was chasing a dream
now I'm paying the cost

Covering my heart and body
with some pieces of wood
oh, why did she leave me here
In this lifeless hood?

Trying to have the warmth I once had
when she was here, with me
And when I remembered the times we've spent
I cried.. cried a sea

As my soul starts aching
I look at the moon and begin to howl
Hoping that she's somewhere close
that she'll hear my call

Forever, I will seek for her heart
and never stop my pace
until my end comes and I die
to the outermost corner of the space
