There's An "If" In Life For A Reason

Why did you have to leave me here?
I can't take that you're gone
You left so suddenly, too soon
And I don't know how to move on

It's amazing how once you were there
And then how quickly you were taken away
This concept really gets to me
Because of out everyone, you deserved to stay

I still think things could have been different
Who ever said "It was his time" anyway?
Isn't there an "If" in life for a reason?
I'm getting really sick of what they say

I don't wanna believe that you're gone forever
But the damage is done, I can't bring you back
I really don't know how to deal with this
Cause you always gave me the hope I lacked
