Sitting on my bed
Crying once again
He got the belt out
Now there is a welt on my back and legs
My face burns because of the tears
This pain has gotten worse over the years
His anger worsens
My fears are unreal
I can't sleep at night
In fear of getting beat
No one around to help me out
I can't even scream
Your pain and fears are nothing compared to mine
So sit back and watch while my tears pour
My bloods spills out a little more
Bruises here and there
Never going away
The teachers ask
I don't asnwer
Kids stare
I look at the ground
Bruises that won't go away
Mom calls the cops
All the pain stops
But these bruises won't go away
