Family Portrait

by Tiffany   Jan 21, 2008

In a family portrait
We look pretty happy
But as soon as we close the doors
It becomes world war III.
Daddy please do not yell
Mommy did not mean a thing
Please do not take your anger out on me.
Please can't we pretend that the family portrait is real?
Were we are all happy
And no one yells.
Please Mommy, Daddy
I am tired of all the fights
And tired of crying when I go to sleep at night.
Please lets forget about all the things we have said
And be a happy family portrait again.
