My life is crazy, as I stand with fear
I'm almost done with high school, and college is near
I'm ready to go, believe it or not
The US is crazy, being known as the melting pot
I play football to stay, mentally and physically fit
I am up for any challenge, I am savage like a pit
I am kind and loving, thats for people who know
All that I have accomplished, I step back and say whoa
I'm in R.O.T.C, the discipline is there
I am savage like a pit, but disciplined like a bear
Ive joined the National Guard, my country I'll protect
When I meet that enemy, we'll be fighting neck to neck
I serve for freedom and fight to be free
I will fight for freedom without any plea.
I will leave this earth, for dignity i stand
Everyone around me, likes to give me a helping hand
I have one thing to live for, thats my beautiful prize

She's the only reason everyday, I open my eyes
I think about her each and every day
I hope we get married so she'll always stay
I always write poems, to help me feel good
I no I am black, but don't call me hood
I am separate from others, in my mind I can
