trying to stand
to pull myself up onto the hood

to go from such happiness
to so much pain and despair
we hadn't gone very far,
on the road to take you home
before we had the accident,
sliding off the road
here were stuck, dying so very much alone
your screams, they penetrate the dark
as you lay in pain
i try to call out
but its all in vain
I have no grasp of time,
no idea how long we lay
a vehicle stops along the way,
they see the damaged vehicle,
and help me off the ground,
they lay me next to you
and then they call for help
Its too late and we both know,
so with every bit of strength i have
i wrap you in my arms
i tell you i love you, that i always will
ill never forget you, now i kiss you goodbye
as you slowly fade away
