Scattered Dreams

by Poetic Ninja aka Papachopchop   Jan 25, 2008

There is a place inside my soul,
A coven of thoughts that are only for you,
Thoughts that bring peace to an ongoing war,
But how can I know if these thoughts are true.

I long and pray for it to be so,
I've been hurt so many times,
My heart has been smashed by those of the past,
The guillotines dropped on this heart of mine,

But I see a glimmer of hope on the horizon,
For I have faith in what I do not see,
But what I feel is golden and pure,
Please tell me this isn't a dream.

For your words bring pleasure,
On the darkest of days,
And you bring me comfort,
In so many ways.

Just tell me I'm not dreaming,
Tell me this is something real,
I still don't know whether to trust,
All these things that I feel.

In the stanza right before the last it should be your * not you, I believe. Unless I'm reading it wrong.

    The poem is amazing, darling.
Other than that 'your' it's flawless.
    Amazing.
    Perfect.
I'm so happy to see something other than a sad/dark poem come out of you. xD
