Secret Sisters

by 0BrokenBella0   Jan 25, 2008

As much as I hate leaving you,
Just know it was right for me and you, too.

I will always love you with all my heart,
No matter whether we're together or apart.

You were one friend of a select few.
When something went wrong, I turned to you.

You're my best friend and like a sister to me.
You told me your secrets, said I was trust worthy.

There was nothing about me that you never knew.
Very few knew my secret; I'm glad one was you.

My secret was told; all I did was deny.
Only then did my heart burst and I wanted to die.

Alisha and Cheyenne were among those who knew.
When they told, I got scared, and I turned to you.

When my dad moved out, again I looked for you.
And for a while, you were the only one who knew.

When I was upset, you were the one I would call.
You were always there, we're secret sisters after all.

I just learned the meaning of that certain phrase.
"Secret Sisters" can be defined in the strangest of ways.

It means that between us, few secrets go untold.
Until after so long, and they start to unfold.

You taught me to do what I've rarely done:
I've learned how to trust again, and how to have fun.

I know you don't hate her; don't act like you do.
After all, she's your mother, she did raise you.

Even though they don't show it, they all love you.
If you let them in, you'll find that you love them, too.

All secrets of you to your mom go unshared.
And it's resulted to your thought that she never cared.

If you want to know how I know this, you see,
God gave you a secret sister. That's me.
