Words Unspoken

Soft lips brush my cheek
Should I say it?

"Goodbye"
I should have said,
"You have my heart!"

You drove away
out of sight
as I followed behind,
heart breaking
holding back the emotions inside

....as if you could see.

Through the tears in my eyes
I watched you disappear in the distance
and wished I had said,
“You have my heart!”
