I didn't know you that well if at all,
But your death has still left me shocked.
I only really spoke to you once,
One night; out the front of the local shops.
It was a time you'd run away again,
And at the end you said your last goodbye.
I never remember talking to you after,
I might have a few times just to say hi.
Though now as I find out you've died,
A few months after your tragic fate.
I still feel shocked at your death,
Even though you weren't a mate.
