Silently Screaming

My throat is raw,
My heart is numb,
An empty shell,
I have become.

Screams unheard,
Ring in the night,
Torn down by your,
Heartless slight.

Ears don't hear,
Lips won't utter,
A single word,
To chance a stutter.

Easy to turn,
And walk away,
Won't face the flames,
And burn today.

Pretend the pain,
Was never real,
You weren't the cause,
Choose not to feel.

Indifference,
Shall not save you friend,
The screams will haunt you,
In the end.
