The queen of pretend

by chikidiwa   Jan 30, 2008

Like changes in weather
Your heart is a feather
Blowing in the wind

You act without feeling
Searching for meaning
In ways others would call sin

There's something your missing
The ones you are kissing
Are waiting for you to end
It's all pretend
From beginning to end
All pretend, all pretend

But you the head of the choir
So their looks of mire
Are compliments concealed with hate

As you steal there bliss
These fools still miss
the harlot who juggled their fate

you think you've won
yet when it all is done
I think your opinion will end
You'll see its pretend
From beginning to end
Its all pretend, its all pretend

No soul left within
This once perfect mannequin
Just a bag of skin and bone

You've crushed a million hearts
None are yours as in the start
You'll die loveless and alone

You could change right now
I know you wont somehow
Afraid your glamour will end
Though you know its pretend
You'll be till the end
The queen of pretend, the queen of pretend
