Working man

Sunny days,

starlit nights,

breeze on your face,

soothing sights,

muscles aching,

mind afire,

you have to keep moving,

no time to tire,

another day,

spent earning your bread,

the monotony ringing,

in ones head,

try to depress,

and break u down,

but you keep on swimming,

unwilling to drown,

you tell yourself,

it will change one day,

you'll get ahead,

have time to play,

you get home,

let your aching legs rest,

snuggling up in bed,

blankets forming a nest,

to tired to think,

about past mistakes,

smoke your last ciggerette,

watch your hand as it shakes,

slipping off into dreams,

of Friends out of reach,

wondering if they think of you,

as you think of each,

then the clock goes off,

and its time again,

i know things will change,

yet i still wonder when,
